The ultimate photograph of man’s first steps on the moon is not, as many believe, of Neil Armstrong, but is one Armstrong took of his co-pioneer, Buzz Aldrin. Taken with a 70mm Hasselblad lunar camera, the iconic picture shows Aldrin posing next to the lunar module he had flown successfully to the surface only hours before. The photographer’s reflection can be seen distinctly in the golden glow of Aldrin’s spacesuit helmet.
